| The next day, we headed to San Francisco and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge enshrouded in fog |

| That night we camped at China Camp, a campground north of SF and a lovely secluded walk in spot with mountain lions lurking. |

| We drove through Napa Valley as well but the 3 wine tasting in Sonoma were as much as we could handle. We bought sausages and cooked them over an open fire. |

| We stayed in Carmel Valley and the next day did the 17 Mile Drive where the rich and famous live. |

| Back on the 17 Mile Drive, we came to a beach with lots of cormorants |
