Day 28 - Butchart Gardens Victoria

Before taking the ferry to Vancouver, we spent the morning at what I think may be the most beautiful gardens in the world.

One of the many topiaries.

Butchart was a wealthy owner of a limestone quarry and plant. His wife developed these beautiful gardens on the property. She filled in a quarry pit with topsoil and planted the ground and the walls with ferns.

Even the trash receptacles were planted.

After Butchart Gardens, we took a lovely ferry ride to Vancouver.
