We spent the night in Minot, North Dakota. Lots of wheat fields
After Minot, ND, we drove for many hours in a torrential downpour and ended up in Minneapolis. This was our splurge night. We ate in a fabulous restaurant-the Bachelor Farmer. Here was one of the many delicious dishes we ate-roasted fatback, buttered squash, apples, almonds, cider vinegar.

and Mel found an amazing deal at the Hyatt Regency.
The next day, we explored the sculpture garden at the Minneapolis Art Museum
This is the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry by Claes Oldenburg

Then we visited the framer's market.

By late morning, we were on the road again-headed this time for the banks of the Mississippi between MI and WI
